my son’s I 485 approved but did not receive physical Green Card. Can he travel with m

Hi both me and my husband became permanent resident and we recived Green Card. But my son who is 9 years old recieved the I-485 approval notice but its been almost 40 days , he did not receive physical Green Card. I have an urgent upcoming travel plan in my country. Under this circumstance what should I do to take my child with me? Please advise!

go get an I-557 stamp in his passport that will act like a green card until his physical card arrives, and then also contact USCIS and ask why his has not come in yet
